A Quick House Facelift

We’ve been in our new house for about seven months now. That seems like a long time when I think about all the projects we have left to do, but in the grand scheme of things it’s no time at all.

We moved in with a five month old whose grandparents would be arriving from Germany the following weekend. Needless to say, boxes weren’t getting unpacked very quickly. Now that I feel we’re mostly established here, the projects are really starting to take off. I’m getting a clearer picture in my head of what I would like our home to look and feel like, so the ball is rolling people!

This past weekend I planned a Project Day at our house, where friends and family were invited to help us give our home a quick face lift. Flower beds were mapped out, bushes were trimmed and flowers were planted, giving the front a nice, fresh green look. We also decided to change our shutter color from red to a more charcoal black. I’m very happy with the way it turned out!

We are really excited with how it turned out! It was all done in a day – amazing what a change in color can do!
